Conor McGregor only needed to fight one fight in 2020 to hit the jackpot. That winning bout against Donald Cerrone netted him $22 million. Most importantly, the mixed martial arts (MMA) star was the highest-paid athlete in the world last year, with about $180 million in earnings (about 149 million euros), according to Forbes magazine.
It wasn’t actually the sport that made him earn the most, but rather entrepreneurship. The 32-year-old Irishman earned $158 million from his business activities, including the sale of his shares in a whiskey brand.
Soccer in the spotlight
According to Forbes, McGregor was one of four athletes to earn more than $100 million in 2020. Lionel Messi comes second on the list with $130 million in revenue (about 107 million euros), followed by Cristiano Ronaldo and his $120 million (about 99 million euros).
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott completes the top four with $107.5 million, ahead of Lakers star LeBron James with $96.5 million. PSG player Neymar earned $95 million, or 78 million euros. Finally, Roger Federer, despite having played only one tournament in 2020, still belongs to the top 10 with 90 million dollars
Lamborghini for $3.4 million
Not content with his collection of luxury cars, Conor McGregor has added a choice piece to his motoring heritage: a personal superyacht worth $3.4 million. The result of a collaboration between Lamborghini and The Italian Sea Group, this model named Tecnomar 63 had one mission: to become the Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 of the seas, a tall order considering the performance and technology jewel that is this new hybrid hypercar produced in only 63 units.
In order to better identify their relationship, both vehicles have been given the same carbon fiber coat: a metallic green, tending towards gold. In terms of dimensions, the Tecnomar 63 is not exactly what you would call a lightweight: 24 tons for 19 meters long. To propel such a machine, there is nothing like a 2000 horsepower V12 engine. Conor McGregor announced the news on his Instagram account: “My Lamborghini yacht is ready,” he soberly announced. The Tecnomar 63 in the colors of the boxer’s native Ireland, so dear to him since he also owns a Rolex in this color, could well become his new retirement, he who is currently nursing his broken leg. It’s probably only a matter of time before we see this yacht in motion.

The watch is housed in a 50mm case. In addition to the Astronomia Tourbillon Baguette, Conor McGregor would already be interested in another model signed Jacob and Co. the Rasputin Tourbillon, produced in only one copy and estimated at 2 million dollars.
